Caroline's report: The word of the day was "timorous" meaning fearful.
Six people used the word once (Yasmeen, Michael, Will, Lan, Kristen, Guest-Heather). Bill used it 5 times.
We all still have to work on our run-on sentences. There is heavy reliance on connecting words - but, and, so - that need to be weeded out in order to finish the thought and make a clear transition to the next sentence. "I think" is an overused filler. If you are saying it, then you are thinking it. No need to make the redundant observation. (This is something I really have to work on!!) I also agree with Ian's observation from the previous meeting on the word "basically". |
