“Surreptitious” adj. – 1. Marked by quiet and caution and secrecy; taking pains to avoid being observed; "With a surreptitious glance at his watch, he asked to be excused."
2. Conducted with or marked by hidden aims or methods; made or introduced fraudulently; done by stealth or without proper authority. "A surreptitious removal of the evidence caused the case to be thrown out of court."
